JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

Join our team at the East London Distribution Centre and play a vital role in ensuring food safety compliance across Boxer. As a Food & Safety Officer, you’ll collaborate with the Food Safety Manager to uphold the highest standards and prioritize customer safety.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

National diploma/3 Year Degree in Food Science/Safety.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety.

In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene policies, regulations, and relevant systems.

Familiarity with FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Computer literate with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, deadline-driven approach.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement policies after thorough research and approval processes.

Build effective external relationships, particularly with the Department of Health for safety reports.

Identify, evaluate, and document risks, staying updated on regulations and acting accordingly.

Administer food safety processes, including report compilation.

Enhance compliance through self-inspections, audits, and proactive training initiatives.

Investigate and address food-related complaints, reviewing incidents for root causes and implementing corrective actions.
