ABOUT THE POSITION
Transporting goods from one location to another. Include loading their vehicles, abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at their destination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Aim to be at destination as early as possible taking direct route. No unauthorized trips & no rerouting unless authorized by management.
Trip sheet works from the bottom up i.e. start with the shop on the bottom of the trip sheet.
Accept returns only if they have been authorized on a Sundale upliftment note by a rep.
Complete truck checklist on return to depot which is located on trip sheet.
Complete temperature checks on leaving the depot and on return to the depot, if your fridge is not getting to 5 degrees you are to report it to the supervisor on duty and also write it on the trip sheet.
Check returns and undelivered stock back into the fridge with supervisor.
Collections & invoices returned to office ensuring all invoice checked off on trip sheet.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have Matric
Valid code 10 license as essential with PdP
2 years’ experience in driving code 10 trucks (from 8ton – 32ton trucks)
