PURPOSE OF POSITION :

To manage all Activities in the Clinical pathology laboratory on a daily basis to ensure that set targets and objectives are achieved and maintain high quality standards at all times.

REQUIREMENTS :

HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required), National Diploma: Medical Technology (Required)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

KNOWLEDGE :

Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA),

Knowledge: Employment Equity Act (EEA),

Knowledge: Google and Google Mail,

Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies,

Knowledge: Meditech system,

Knowledge: MS Excel,

Knowledge: MS PowerPoint,

Knowledge: MS Windows,

Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures, Senior and / or supervisory or managerial experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath,

Manage all Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld,

Manage all technical tasks in order to ensure efficient specimen flow in the laboratory,

Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved,

Manage the Clinpath departmental budget in order to control expenses and ensure the correct allocation of funds,

Perform operational management tasks in order to ensure operational priorities and initiatives that may be required,

Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens
